A Name on the Door

Eva lives in a new flat. She does not know the people in the building. The door next to hers has a name on it: Ali.

On Saturday, Eva makes a cake. It is a big cake, and she lives alone. She puts two pieces on a plate and goes to Ali's door.

A young man opens it.

"Hello. I am Eva. I live next door. Would you like some cake?"

"Yes, please! I am Ali. Do you like coffee?"

"Yes, I do."

Ali puts two cups on the table. Eva sits down. The building is new to her, but now she has a friend next door.
